Coldwell Banker University TrainingColdwell Banker University Training Programs are an incredible learning utensil for those associated with the Coldwell Banker company. I recently completed a 4 week, 25 hour virtual online training course called eFastStart, in which I was connected to over 15 other Realtors all throughout the country via headsets and microphones. General consensus was that everyone participating had been in the business for less than 6 months. Everyone but our instructor, Cheryl, who has been actively involved with real estate for over 12 years. In the program, Cheryl spent an hour and a half, three days a week helping us learn different core skills involved with listing, selling, prospecting, and electronic networking. At the end of each session on most days we would have what was called a "breakout" group where we were placed in small groups, often two or three people, to practice the skill we'd learned about that day.

Coldwell Banker University TrainingWeek three of eFastStart made me sort of nervous because I knew that we were going to have to present a sellers listing presentation to several of our classmates posing as potential clients during the breakout session. Not wanting to be outdone or seem incompetent, I prepared my presentation for class as if I were sitting down in front of a real client. In hindsight that was the point of the drill to begin with, no? I went last in my group and was highly impressed by the presentations of my peers before me. I read through my own and attempted to sell my "client" on why I was the best Realtor for the job of selling their home. As I came to the close of my presentation I was fearful that I had talked to much or babbled. Imagine my surprise when the response from both of my classmates was, "how long have you been doing this again!?" I walked away from that particular session feeling confident. A huge part of this business is not only selling homes but selling yourself. Fear of rejection will hinder you very quickly. Along with many other important things learned, I took from my eFastStart experience a sense of confidence that wasn't completely missing before I began the program....it just needed a little boost!
