The Port St. Lucie market has undergone a correction recently, Is this the time to buy or should one wait and see? Each individual or family should look at at their own personal circumstances. But looking at the local market some thing's are clear. Prices have come down substantially and inventory is up. A buyer can get some great deals on homes that were much pricier just last year,and that is certainly a benefit to the buyer. I heard a man speaking to the man next to him at a fast food restaurant the other day he was saying that he was going to wait until he was sure that things have gone as low as they possibly can and then buy. Hey that's a great idea, I hope his as low as it can go alarm clockhas been checked for accuracy and i want one of those for myself as well. The truth-is buying homes or cars or stocks finding the absolute bottom price before they rise is incredibly hard to do because by the time the data is compiled and analyzed the market price for that item has changed . If a person is going to buy a home and then attempt to own it for just a short time such as a year or two and try to make a big profit on it that's a bad idea in this market. but let's look getting a home for long term ownership as most of us do when we buy a home. Is this a time when you can find a better deal on a a home for you and your family than in years past? -Yes- By waiting for the absolute bottom could I miss it and perhaps end up paying more than I would right now? That is certainly a possibility. Will interest rates be as low as they are now when i finally decide to jump in? The only interest rate we can count on is the one at this moment in time. If interest rates go up even if prices come down more it could erode the buying power and advantages that this market has given to buyers. So if a person is looking to get a home that they can afford with a lot of the features they want in a home and if they plan to live in that home for more then a year or two then this might be a great time to buy a home in Port St Lucie Florida.
