I went to the office today ready to get to work and my business partner, Belinda, said "Sorry but I have other plans for you".
I pulled out my TO-DO List and told her that I already had things planned for today, but she just wasn't hearing it.
She told me to get on the highway and head west, so to make life easier on both of us, I followed her instruction.
She said that we needed some time away from the office and from real estate to talk about everything that had transpired in the past few weeks and plan for the weeks ahead. Of course, I thought that could be easily accomplished by staying in the office and planning, but since it was a beautiful day in Colorado, I decided to take her up on it.
We stopped in a small mining town, Idaho Springs, and enjoyed a quick lunch and walked around and took some pictures of the sites.

Here is a picture of the Argo Mine which began in 1859. They offer tours and a chance to pan for gold.

The great Rocky Mountain gold rush began almost overnight with over 50,000 miners pouring in to Clear Creek County.
In February 1976 the property was purchased by James N. Maxwell to preserve the quickly disappearing history of mining in Colorado and Clear Creek County. The five-story mill was renovated and opened to the public as a historic and educational tour.

It is always fun to take in a bit of Colorado history. My partner was right, the day excursion to the mountains did wonders for my attitude. I think a monthly excursion is in order.
I will post more pictures from our other stops tomorrow. It was a picture perfect Rocky Mountain day!
