During our day long, Rocky Mountain excursion yesterday with my business partner, Belinda, we stopped in Idaho Springs and walked around the town.
Idaho Springs was formed in 1859. The elevation is 7,540 feet and the population is 1,755. Idaho Springs is the largest town in Clear Creek County with lots of local mining history.
In the center of town is this historic train #60, Old Smoke and Cinders.
Here is a picture of the Charlie Taylor water wheel. They say that Charlie Taylor never bathed and never kissed a woman. Maybe it was because he never bathed that he never kissed a woman...
The waterfall is frozen but water runs behind the ice.
Soon it will be warm enough to melt all of the ice and we will see a full blown water fall.
