Ah, the luck of the Irish! It is a gorgeous day in Philadelphia this St. Patrick's Day! Our office is in the middle of the St. Patrick's Day festivities and it is awesome!! So if you are in the area (we are located at 2nd and South Streets in downtown Philadelphia), stop in one of my top 3 fine establishments and get your Irish on while watching Temple play Penn State this afternoon:
- The Dark Horse- Located on 2nd Street just south of Lombard at Headhouse Square. Traditional looking Irish Pub with a wide selection of draft brews and a pretty tasty menu of pub style favorite foods! Soccer (eh hmm.. futbal) enthusiast? Catch your favorite match at The Dark Horse. Other perks: Darts. www.DarkHorsePub.com
- The Artful Dodger Pub- Located on the west side of 2nd Street (across of the Dark Horse and just North). The Artful (or The Dodger) is a favorite to many for its size and tradition. There is an English Style Dart Board along with many fine Draft Beers, along with great Whiskey Specials! Situated in Society Hill (Cobblestone Streets and all) also in Headhouse Square, The Artful is more intimate for conversation than most and has a very good menu of food classics!
- O'Neals Pub - Located on 2nd Street just south of South Street (east side of the block) - quaint Irish Pub with well-priced food and an outside beer garden! Also an excellent selection of brews on tap, the outside beer garden will sure to keep you at O'Neals for some time. www.OnealsPub.com
Of course, Philly has an enormous variety of Irish Pubs (ex. The Irish Pub), but these 3 are tops on the list of go-to pubs for St. Patty's Day! Have fun, be safe and Be Irish!!!
