Teen break has gotten off to a great start in Lake Havasu City as teens swarmed Rotary Park last Tuesday for the first day of Teen Break. This is an annual event that high school kids say is relaxing and a lot of fun for everyone. Organizers from the city’s Parks and Recreation Department say that over 1,500 students have registered for the annual three-day event. And there’s an estimated 100+ volunteers who will distribute free food and monitor events and rides.
Many students have said that this year's event is even better than last year. There’s a second, larger music stage, several different carnival rides and an Army obstacle course to enjoy. Many students and volunteers agree that, if you have the right people and attitude, you can have fun no matter what.
There was something to do every minute of every day for all the students to enjoy. There was even a drug, alcohol, and gang-free event for each day. The Lake Havasu Teen Break event is one event that gives friends time to hang out during their spring break in a safe and fun environment. There are so many people at the event that it’s hard not to socialize with someone.
