Surrey - The City of Surrey is the best place in B.C. to invest in the residential real estate market, and the 4th best city in Canada, according to a new report published by Real Estate Investment Network of Canada.
The report titled "Top Canadian Investment Cities", examined factors such as economic growth, affordability, income level, job creation and population growth.
"With two border crossings to the United States, links to five major highways, deep sea docks, and four railways, it's easy to see why Surrey is a prime location to do business, with access to local, national, and international markets," said the report. "When reviewing Surrey's economic fundamentals, we see an area going through a positive transition. Others have taken notice as well, as we see an increase in population and business opportunities. Surrey has experienced tremendous growth and the trend looks to continue for many years to come."
"For the second year in a row we've been named the number one city in B.C. to invest in residential real estate and I think that demonstrates that businesses and residents have confidence in our city," says Mayor Dianne Watts. "Surrey is full of investment opportunities, and our Economic Investment Action Plan is reinforcing our position as one of the best cities in the country in which to do business."
