Millionaire Real Estate Investor Workshop

By
Real Estate Agent with Century 21 HomeStar

It's been almost a month since our first Millionaire Real Estate Investor meeting. We have set the schedule now; every 3rd Tuesday, 6:30 in Fairlawn and every 3rd Saturday, 10am in Stow.

We changed the format a bit since the first meeting. I am now doing the presentation. I hate (let's make this HATE) public speaking. I don't even like announcing listings at our sales meetings.

Apparently, I know the material better than I thought so it actually worked out pretty well. I didn't memorize a speech or make note cards. I used the PowerPoint Presentation to stay on track, and then I just talked about the subject at hand. Mike and I have quite a few investing experiences to relate to the material so it was a bit like chatting with strangers - Which (I guess everyone knows by now) is not a problem for meJ (knowing when to shut up - that's another blog.)

The Fairlawn meeting went OK. I only had two attendees this time; Nick from PNC bank and an investor that is looking for higher end short sales. Nick was really attentive and helpful - giving lending info, etc. I've sent a web portal to the investor, but haven't heard back yet.

The Stow meeting was very well attended. I had a new KW agent, a former RE agent who makes a living investing, a couple of experienced investors, a married couple that are new to investing and another that I have been communicating with regarding the sale of their house. All in all, this was a great meeting. We served a light "continental style" breakfast which everyone seemed to enjoy. Marilyn greeted the guests as they arrived and guided them to the meeting room. She was also there to say goodbye as everyone left. The whole presentation showed how professional and friendly we are at KW Chervenic!

Saturday mornings may be the ticket - but I'll give the Tuesday PM meeting a few more months to get going.

I only advertised in the classifieds this time; the Beacon, commercial section and the West Side Leader. I didn't send out any emails, but did call everyone that missed the meeting from the month before. Next month we will place signs in front of the offices announcing the workshops. I definitely need to be more organized in order to increase my attendance. (you may have guessed that I didn't over advertise in fear that many people would attend, I would get massive stage fright and freeze up in front of everyoneJ
