Over the years I have given my clients different closing gifts. I've felt that a gift should be thoughtful and memorable. And I've come to believe that the closing gift should be much, much more than just a thank you gift. it should be a beginning for future contacts and business.
One of the first personalized closing gift ideas was to have ceramic pieces designed and fired specifically for my client. Each piece was selected for the type of decor that the client seemed to prefer and on the piece (usually on the base) would be inscribed the clients name, the home address and the date. They always seemed to be a big hit.
Over the years, I started taking photos and giving a framed copy with the clients name and some information such as the address and date of closing. Again, my clients seemed to appreciate these photos.
Next was the addition of a personalized card with photos of the home and possibly the clients. These are easily designed and printed from SendOutCards. The cards lead to an ongoing series of cards that are quick and easy and very personal for each client.
I have yet to find a client who is not excited to receive a high quality personal card in the mail, and at time I include a gift.
Now I have one new exciting change. In place of a framed photo, I will be giving the Kodak Pulse Digital Frame with the personalized photo included.
