I have been trying to cancel my Rainmaker status for weeks. Despite this, and despite changing the credit card information on the profile, they have charged my card. The customer service is pathetic..when you click on "cancel" it directs you to call. Of course when you call, you do not get a human so I left a CLEAR message to cancel the rainmaker account. I then received an email and replied for them to cancel the rainmaker caccount. Of course they have not done it and have charged my card for a service that I do not want. This is pathetic
It is unfortunate that the world doesn't always respond to my wishes in my time-frame. It makes me mad too when it's not all about me Paddy . . .

Sorry you're having troubles with ActiveRain. Contact your CC/bank and let them know of this issue, and they will likely resolve it for you. Hope this helps. In their defense, ActiveRain has grown leaps and bounds lately, so they're probably overwhelmed.
Paddy, may I ask the reason you're resigning your membership? Does it precede the poor admin experiences you're now experiencing?

Paddy, I'm sure that this will all work out. I don't think that this is a malicious act. The credit card company can always reverse the charges.

To me, it is inexcusable that Activerain can ghave such pooor customer service. You shoudl be able to cancel with out being called, because the call of course, is designed to convince you to stay. I love th esite, but have had too many problems weith support. They are very slow to respond. What more should I ahve to do to cancel?? Clicked on cancel,; called and left a VM (disgraceful that I did not get a human); changed the cc info on file; sent an email. And they wonder why I am canceling....
I have also been trying to call for weeks with no results. I had cancelled late last year and the billing stopped then out of the blue they started charging me again. and now I can't seem to get a human being on the phone to stop it. What a rip off ! Don't ever sign up or use Activerain EVER !
