Finally, We Spotted Them Today!

We've been watching the past few weeks with hopes of seeing their little red bellies, but until today there had been no sign.

Finally, today not one but two little red robins came to visit our backyard.
Sorry, they were 'bobbing' so fast, we didn't even get a chance to grab our camera and grab a shot.

Have you seen your first robin yet?

Now we know for certain we can give old man winter the heave ho and officially welcome spring tomorrow!

Al & Peggy, Glad you're finally seeing them, Spring has sprung! The robins are here year 'round and they are a protective bunch of birds. One went after our cat because it got too close to its nest, it was FUN to watch it dive bomb!

The calendar says today is SPRING!  You saw your first two robins which says SPRING TO YOU!  We are waiting for the Pecan trees to bring forth their leaves as then we will know it's SPRING in Texas...they are the last trees to bud.  Thanks for sharing your Robin Sighting!

Al & Peggy,

Glad to hear the robbins are flying into view.  We've had gale force winds and rain. I think it grounded the birds AND the planes. But the trees are in bud and our lawn looks GREEN.

All the best,

I haven't seen any, Al and Peggy.  We do have several geese that are swimming around and on occasion using our back yard to dry out.

No Robins down there in Texas Cheryl??  Oh and they are so cute, we usually always see them after a rain, searching for worms!

ewww, poor Highway, Wanda!! But it would have been funny to watch LOL!

Oh Silvia what a great shot! Didn't even know Robins came to a bath like that!

Keep a watch out Andrew, they have to be making an appearance in Jersey soon!

Tell those pecan trees to hurry up Gwynn! We LOVE pecan trees!!

We will be on the look out for sure Martha!

Ya gotta love the green green grass of home Steve. Our grass is still that golden brown, but we did see Robins!!

Well keep your eyes peeled Bruce, we saw the geese in large groups first and then the red bellies made an appearance!

Deborah maybe when your weather calms down the little guys will make an appearance! Stay well there in Boise.

LOL Marc! Wish we could have capture the live one for you then! Keep looking they are out there!

That's ok Rob, Spring has officially arrived!!

Happy Spring Cousin Ken! Finally!

Hi Al and Peggy... when I was growing up in New Jersey we always watched for the robins to tell us that spring had arrived.  In Texas, we don't see many robins, but spring is definitiely back!

Hi Al and Peggy -- we've had the robins back for several weeks now.  Our weather has been like a yo-yo temperature wise and I'm sure there were some nights they were wishing for a heater!

Where did you find the robin graphic?  I'm going to be re-doing Robin's Website and I'd like to incorporate Robins and Robin's nests into it somehow.  I had some good robin graphics but now I can't locate them and can't remember where I purchased them -- duh.  I need to get better organized!

I remember a lot of robins growing up in Wisconsin. They're the official state bird.
