It's the little things

Hello Fellow Active Rainmakers,

I just wanted to share an email a client sent me.  Usually I stay away from rentals, but this poor couple rented out their home sooner than they thought.  Searching for a rental closer to their children's school and a shorter commute to their work they called me. 

When I spoke to Kelly and Mike, I could sense their fustration.  They stumbled across my clients rental listing and complimented on how well the interior looked.  I stated that it had been rented out within the first few days and I asked them as to where they found my listing.  They stated Truilia, (by the way, if you use postlets which is a free application it will automatically post to hundreds of websites; including hot pads, myfront door, truilia, etc).

To get back to the point, everything they had viewed was in dis-repair or poor condition.  I decided to help them out and sent them listings.  Needless to say, my Saturday Morning/Afternoon, was spent with their wonderful family.  We had a great time talking and looking at various homes and to be honest, not far from my home.  Later that day they called me back and stated which property they wanted to lease.  I called the leasing agent, and took the information I need in order to start my clients application process.  Granted it's only 150.00 commission, but I didn't realize how much they apprciated my promtness and that fact that I actually listened to what they really wanted; a CLEAN HOME. 

Sometimes it's the little things that make me smile, and this is the reason I love my job; it's about the clients!

Raiza, Thank you so much for showing us the rental homes today. You really did a great job of finding houses in good condition. We narrowed it down to the Amberwood home and the Cathedral Rock home, but we were afraid the trucks coming in the morning to deliver to Safeway would wake Kelly up as she is a light sleeper. The floor plan on the Amberwood home was great although the location is a bit further east than we hoped for and the backyard is "low maintenance", we think it will work best of all the homes we saw. We have printed the application and will drop it at the management companies mailbox on Sunday or Monday. If you see any additional properties you think we may be interested in, please let us know. Many realtors don't want to take the time helping renters but we will be sellers and buyers in the future and will definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a home. Regards, The Lerches
