Finally A Day We Can All Get Into, National Goof Off Day......

Why is it always March 22nd? This day won’t be found on any ordinary calendar but it may be found on one of those weird holiday calendars.

Golfing Here's a day that just about everyone can really get into. It's a day to do anything you want.....except what you're supposed to do today. Like work?

Assuming, I know I’m not supposed to ASSUME, you won't get in trouble at work or school, go ahead and play some golf, or play video games all day. Spend extra time surfing the net. Go out and spend the day window shopping with your BFF. Or, just sit down and read a book or watch Tv. This day is set aside for you to do anything you enjoy doing. Except work? What if I have been celebrating Goof Off Month or Year?

I understand that a few years ago, a survey was performed to identify the most popular activity for goofing off. The top activity was playing video games. Can somebody tell me how did we ever survive without video games? Who conducted the survey? Ninetendo, of course!.......no surprise. It kinda makes you wonder just who might have had the brainstorm to create this day......hmmmm. Congress?

Reading a Book The origin of this day is unknown. I would suspect it was created by some hard working individual who finally got fed up with always doing what he (or she) was supposed to do. Quite candidly, I think, they finally lost it, and took a day to just goof off. How do we know it wasn't created by someone who is always goofing off? Well maybe it’s because they would have created Goof Off week, or month, or......

Don, one of my friends back home there in the Grand State of Missouri, him and a group of guys, would always go out a play golf every year on New Year's Day. They had special bright color golf balls, so they could find them in the snow.

This here blog post of yours got me to thinking about them doing that every year.
