Great pictures showing the spoonbills. Looks like they are making a nest?
Sue of Robin and Sue
Great picture of the Spoonbills Kathy! I hope you had time to see Mickey too!
When I saw the title I thought "Well of course it isn't all about Mickey. It's about Donald!!" Donald Duck of course because he is my favorite and highly underrated. These pictures were kinda like Donald. LOL
What adorable creatures...I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday....take care!
Very beautiful birds. There is so much offered by Disney parks these days. I really like their nature conservation approach too.
Patrick- hope these got your day off to a good start!
Karin- was just there 2 weekends ago. It's one of my favorite places.
Toni- can't wait to see your photo. Have fun at Mickeyville!
Clint- you're A-OK in my book! If you haven't been to Animal Kingdom be sure to see the bird show and Finding Nemo! And, of course there're the rides!
Kathy
Thanks for sharing the outstanding photo's.
Good luck and success.

Chuck- be sure to go!!! Half the fun is seeing your children there and the other half is being to act like a kid again.
Valerie- it's always a treat to see them here. Everyone marvels at them!
Sue- they actually had nests. From what I heard the eggs in there were fake (you could tell) because they had taken the real ones to incubators for safe keeping. We had some cold weather. The spoonbills acted just as if they were real!
Maggie- this time we were only at Animal Kingdom but any time you're at Disney World is a treat for me.
Shar- they're cousins!!! Donald is one of my favorites too. i can even talk like him!!!
Kristin- hope you have a great day too. They are so pretty.
Michael- How can anyone not enjoy Disney, right!!!
Lou- hope you enjoyed them! Hope to see you at tomorrow's Lunch on the House!
Kathy, These are gorgeous shots! Animal Kingdom showcases so many incredible species of animals. Hope you had a wonderful trip!
Kathy, What a treat to see these birds tending to a nest. Did you get to see any eggs?
Gloria
Kathy....Those are really nice photos! I guess you're right.....there's a lot more there if you just keep your eyes open......I hope to go there one day....Thanks!
Hope you have a great day!---Rob
Kathy, love those spoonbills... I don't usually get to see them in the wild.
Hi Kathy - I see in your response to Shar Sitter that you can talk like Donald Duck. Maybe there's a future job for you - I hear there are now auditions taking place to be the new voice of the Aflac duck... ;-)
Beautiful photos - thanks so much for sharing them!
Chris- it's a must see at any age!!!
Sandy- aren't we lucky that we're in driving distance of Disney World!
Gloria- the eggs were actually fake... with a flat bottom. I heard from someone else there that Disney took the real ones and placed them inside to protect them from some of the cool weather we'd had. It didn't look like the birds knew it.
Rob- I never get bored at Disney... you just have to have your eyes open and pretend you're a kid again!
Silvia- we have them at Green Cay here but they're not always there.
Judy- oh yes! I heard about that incident. Pardon me while I call my agent!!
Kristine- They always bring a smile to my face, and when people see them on the boardwalk they stop and just can't leave.
Debra- Thank you! Hope they brought a smile to your face!
You always have the greatest bird pictures! I haven't been to Disney is many years...I will hopefully get there with Zack, Jack or both someday.
Sharon- we went with our grandsons last year and this year and it's a lot of fun.. but also do yourself a treat and take some time for yourself there too.
