It just came across my desk yesterday that Bob Bruss passed away. I looked for comment in AR but didn't see any so I'm jotting this short blog. Back when I first got interested in real estate and investing (around 2001) I'd read his column in the Real Estate section of the Washington Post on Saturdays. Just about every weekend I'd learn something new. Nowadays one can find everything on the Internet but 6 years ago there was considerably less content. And as a newbie, I sponged up every bit of information I could get.
Questions in 'Real Estate Mailbag' (or 'Ask Bob' as my friends and I called it) were often repeated but that only served to implant the answers into my memory. Admittedly, I no longer actively seek out his column, however I remember back when I would eagerly look for it.
May he rest in peace.
