I read an article earlier today that suggested that homebuilders may never fully recover form this real estate down turn but I know of one company that seems to be kicking butt and taking numbers and that would be Minks Builders or Capstone Homes.
I am financing homes for two buyers right now and one of them is buying a very custom home built by Capstone Homes in Maple Grove for an incredible price and the other client is buying a custom built spec home in Andover for an insanely low price for new construction.
It seems that if you build a great home at a competitive price you can capitalize on this market filled with short sale and foreclosure listings, who would have thunk it!
My first thought when I wrote these pre-approvals was "Who in their right mind would build or buy new construction when you can buy existing for half price" but after personally seeing what my clients are getting for their money I can see that they are making an incredible choice in building with Minks/Capstone.
