Chocolate Waffle

Real Estate Agent with Better Homes and Acres

Yesterday I worked floor time in the office from 9 - 3

showed a couple homes afterwards.

Went home, on the phone about the whole time

needed some chocolate kisses

so went to town

and gassed the car at $3.62 a gallon.

Typical day, home a little later than usual

finally about 8:30 PM

On my kitchen table was a small ziplock baggie

written on it said

To Mom

Love Julie

It appeared to be a tiny brown waffle

I looked at it and it looked good.

But I wasn't sure if I was supposed to toast it

butter it frost it or just eat it!

Soon my other daughter appeared and said,

Mom did you try the waffle brownie Julie made?

and I said "It's right here"

She was like OMgoodness it is so good....

I needed no more encouragement at that point,

so I took it out and began to eat it

I always take small bites

It was small like a cookie, but  fluffy like a cake.

And waffle shaped only tiny

and good.

I thought I died and went to heaven......

Instead I went to sleep....

Just loved this post. It reads like a mega run-on Haiku. I'm not sure I know the rules of Haiku, but I certainly appreciate your blog! Have a great evening!

I filled up with gas yesterday morning.  The cost was at least $10.00 more than my previous fill-up.  It took one Snickers and half an Almond Joy to set me right again:-)

Cute post, Marilyn, I've only been partially filling the tank to avoid the shock but chocolate would help.

Dan, Agreed! She is one amazing daughter! She can cook and bake - she loves creating her own recipes!

Peggy,  Thank you, she is a very sweet n thoughtful daughter! (They both are)

Linda, I am sure she would be happy to share!

John, Don't know about Haiku! Will have to google it! Thank you!

Mryl, I know, watching the meter is sickening! So who got the other half of the Almond Joy?

Teral, I still had 5 gallons and it was still $55 to fill! Yes CHOCOLATE! helps!

Well, I love chocolate and I love waffles, but a chocolate waffle just isn’t doing it for me. Fortunately, I read your whole posts to discover that it was chocolate in the shape of a waffle. I’m pretty sure I could do that! JJJJ By the way, be sure to stop by and read my Pay It Forward (part 3) post; you have a shout-out!
