Why?

David you bring up an interesting point. When we are asked why, we could just say because I said so, or we can take the conversation deeper. I think it takes a person with patience and understanding to bring that conversation to an educational conclusion.

Adrian why can mean so many things, but at its root it means we want to learn. Right? I think we could all embrace the why a little bit more.

Isn't it funny how life often turns the tables on us. I'm glad you're not taking the because I said so route. We all heard it as children, and it never seemed to satisfy our curiosity. Thanks Cindy.

Kristine even though I answer a ton of whys and hows, it never gets boring. I see a desire to learn in others that needs to be satisfied, and I look to do exactly that. We are all explorers at heart. We are exploring our limits and boundaries our abilities and relationships. We need why to keep progressing. It sounds to me like your son is already exploring his heart out Kristine. I know you will continue to provide the answers until the whys stop. Lets hope that day never comes.

That is a great question Sussie. I wrote this post to get people thinking introspectively. I want people to have a good quite think about the word why. I want them to question things internally and grow from what they learn. I would like to see more people passionately exploring their limits, much the same way a two year old does. I feel it is important for us to not only ask why, but to follow it up with a why not.

Markita as always it is a pleasure to see you. I agree it is probably not a good idea to say why not to a three yr. old too often.

Donald You rock! I love that you know this stuff. To tell you the truth these guys were rocking before I was even born, but I remember listening to them with my dad, and it always stuck with me. I bet the issue with them on the cover sold well too! Every one in the band had to by one for their mother after all.
