They Might Ask for it: But Will They Know What to DO With It?! ("Open" Floor Plans)

By
Home Stager with Platinum Home Staging, Inc. : RESA-Pro

So many times Buyers ask for an open-floor concept when shopping for a new home.  While Buyers ask for this, the open-floor concept often leaves them "stumped" as to where to place furniture and how to define each living space. When it comes to helping Realtors, Home Owners and Developers sell their homes in the Los Angeles and Ventura Counties quickly; they know to call  Platinum Home Staging, Inc.  as we know exactly how to make sense of open-floor concepts.

This home in Los Angeles was Staged by our Professionals within 48 hours of receiving the very first call for "help!" and completed in just one day. The results are amazing.  But don't take our word for it ~ see for yourself!

Connie:  What a great use of space you have shown here.  Yes... "open" floor plans can present a challenge if you don't know what to do with them.  Great job!

By the way... what a great profile picture.  I can't remember seeing eyes that pretty since a Judy Collins album cover about forty years ago.  Cool !

Connie - Bold and beautiful - those are the first words that came to mind when looking at the "after" photos.  Love the zones you've created.  Now one big space is broken up into several different useful areas.  Love it!

Connie, I am happy to see your staging posts again. Love the bar height breakfast table idea in the kitchen.

Connie- your staging was perfect in showing a buyer how their furniture might work in the open space... and that's the hard part isn't it... when you have so much openess without the "defined" areas laid out for you.

Great post as you are so right.  Buyers love open floor plans. However, they can be so difficult for the buyer to arrange. Your staging not only added warmth, it provided them with a solution on how to utilize the space.

Congratulations. Your home staging is being featured in the group Staging Before and After Pictures.

Thank you, Everyone, for commenting.  One thing I didn't explain regarding this "open" floorplan was also the traffic patterns that needed to be kept "open" as well.  In the first pictures; I am standing at the front door.  Next to the sofa (not pictured) is a fireplace....  If you hadn't noticed, we also added a counter top table table as an "island" to the ballroom size kitchen.

Kathy ~ Thank you! I'm honored!

HI Connie, I looooove that sofa and the accent cushions. You really created a look that is magazine worthy with this job.  Truly remarkable work.
