The flowers are so confused, it's supposed to be Spring!

The flowers in the yard are in a bit of a shock. Last Saturday they were enjoying 70 degree weather, and then there was the threat of as much as 6" of snow. We got just a 1" dusting, but that didn't help the yard flowers to feel any better.

Nor did I, today was supposed to be the opening day at the golf course, and we were set to go, even allowing some time for some lost productivity this afternoon.

I couldn't even bear to take a drive by there, so back to work.

Ed, we are having a little nip in the air too. A weak front moved through and displaced our 70+ degree weather with 40's. Yuck...

We've seen 20-30 degree temperature swings here in Las Vegas, too. But at least they don't come with snow!

Michael, this has been a very strange winter. They can call it anything they want, global warming, too much war fallout in the atmosphere, groundhog revenge, La Nina, etc. it still doesn't make me feel any better.

Philip, it will end with this storm, hopefully.

John, we can live with the temperature variations, but the white stuff has us at the second worst snowfall on record

Hey Guys, I know that too, but when you work your schedule so you can cheat a little and then it gets messed up that's the stinger.

Ed, too bad because a day missed on the course you'll never get back.

We just had frost over night and I think it did some damage to a young Japanese Maple that I'm growing. I'm sure it will come back just like your flowers...not the way you want to start spring, but I'll take any and every day, rain, snow or shine!

Ed.. You are right.. they don't know if they are coming or going. I think this is why there are so many people who are sick too. The temps from 70 degrees to down to 32 the other night.. it is CRAZY.

Ed, We keep going down into the 20's at night and up to the low 40's in the day. Yet the plants keep doing their thing, those hardy early bloomers. Too bad you could not get out and golf, indoor sports on TV for now (which you seem to be enjoying!).
