The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Continues: Let's Start the Sweet Sixteen

We're back to the Men's NCAA action tonight, working towards the Elite 8. The games tonight should all be close and exciting to watch. The pairings are close and Butler is again the darling of the Mid Majors and trying to make another run at the Final 4 and the National Championship game, which they just barely lost last year.

Friday's games will also carry their share of thrill, with a few underdog teams trying to do a little damage. Marquette in the East still playing great will face Carolina, and VCU a great story also, will face the tough defense of Florida State.  VCU has already opened eyes as a First 4 team that had to earn the right just to stay in the tournament

The ACC is still making a statement with only 16 teams left in the tournament. SDSU is going to be a tough matchup for you and your Huskies my friend.

Ed, six of the eight games should be good games, and I plan on being in front of the TV set at 7:00 to watch the Huskies.

Hey Ed, did you hear about the 5 year old boy who picked the final sixteen from the original list on the ESPN website?  He picked them because they had the best mascots.  I heard that this AM and thought it was as good of a way to pick them as any, LOL.

Go Arizona!!!!

Ed -- You're not going to like me too much!  Duke is my team.  Always has been....looooong before UConn was ever on the map.   I still root for UConn, though.

So how are you doing in your pool Ed? I usually watch all the games but this year I have been way too busy which is a good thing.

Craig, here I am another day older and maybe a bit wiser. Someone was just shouting Bring on Arizona, as if they knew whatthey were talking about.

George, I not only watch it live, screaming and yelling, but I also tape it so I can actually see it after wards

Betsy, yesterday when I posted this, I would have said Wisconsin looked real good, and would be a challenge for Ohio State, and today, maybe they were thinking too far ahead?

Juli, how they are picked is always interesting, and now you and I are headed for a major confrontation.

Barbara, this morning I like you just fine, again

Bill, my brackets are shot, as are those of a lot of other people. Louisville and Pitt were big disappointments too as as well as many others, and the surprises were VCU and Richmond. I had UConn losing to SDSU because they had a better team, on paper, and Duke advancing to the Final 4 So now I lose the pool but won the games, I'll take that any time.
