Fort Myers area Condo/Villa sales rise to 494 for the month of February. Thats the highest we have seen since April of 2010. The reason may be due to more reasonable prices as the median for the month was $118,000 compared to January's $131,900. Also Snow birds looking for a second home, started to get serious after the new year and many had properties under contract in January and then closed on them in February. Activity seems to have slowed down a bit in March but there are many people wanting to buy. The distressed inventory has dropped so most buyers are being patient until the best deal becomes available. If you are a seller, ask your realtor to show you how competitive you are with the other listings in your neighborhood.
