"We wanted to tell you about the amazing job your agent, Mandy Beckett, did for us with the sale of our house in Newtown. To begin, Mandy did a fantastic job of pricing and marketing our house so we could get the quickest sale possible. This was important to us as we had already found and moved into a new house so we were carrying two mortgages at the time. Mandy even made arrangements with a plumber and a floor restorer to help prepare the house for the quick sale. However, the effort she put in after we already had an offer was the true test of a great agent.
Her first challenge was when the buyer's agent was seriously injured causing that agent to remain out of the process for a couple of months. This could have caused a major setback, but not with Mandy. She stepped right in and began to work as the agent for both sides all while keeping the buyer's agent still well informed throughout the process and not compromising our position at all.
Mandy's next challenge came when out of the blue our boiler shut down in the vacant house causing many pipes to freeze, burst and leak water throughout the house. Within minutes Mandy was there with her husband and a wet-dry vacuum to help us start the cleaning process. Although it was a very stressful situation, Mandy walked us through the next steps and reassured us this would not break the deal. We doubted her at the time, but in the end she was 100% correct.
Mandy's final amazing act came just a few days before we closed. The seller's bank discovered that a gazebo we had installed on the property ten years earlier had a permit but never had a certificate of occupancy issued. This meant that we could not close until all the proper forms were submitted, signed by the proper government agencies, and an inspector came out to make sure the gazebo was properly installed. To make matters worse, we had about two feet of snow on the ground making proper inspection a difficult thing to determine. What Mandy did was nothing short of a miracle. Within two hours she had all the forms completed and signed by all the proper agencies. She even called in a favor and got the inspector to drop everything and come inspect the gazebo within that same two hour period. We still don't fully comprehend how she managed to accomplish this incredible feet in such a short window of time.
I just can't imagine there is another agent that would have gone to the extremes that Mandy did for us and we greatly appreciate it. I know going forward if anyone is looking for an agent I would make sure they immediately called Mandy, as they could not do better."
