Pay per clickads

It seems that every day I am solicited by one company or another.  I get tired of saying no or asking them to just send me an email with their company information.  One solicitor even suggested that I just visit their web site.  Well, if you want my business, telling me to visit their web site just isn't going to cut it.  What happened to customer service?  So, on that note, has anyone ever had any success with the "pay per click" web sites?  I want to vamp up my internet presence and not quite sure what would be the best use of my money.  Thanks for your input.

Depends on whether you want to generate leads or traffic to your website.  There is a place for "Pay-per-click" with Google, but it should only be used to generate traffic to your site.  Skip the vendors who offer this, you can get a better deal by setting up an account with Google directly.  You can always ask them what your ROI is and that should eliminate 98% of the junk.

Go to the horse not a horse trader. Google, Yahoon and MSN all have this feature you buy / use directly from their site to steer traffic to your site
