Threechopt village is not a friendly community at all. Since living there little over a year we have had both of our vehicles towed with out notice. Both vehicles were parked in the drive way when they were towed in the night and early morning hours. There were no noties left on our door to notify us that our vehicles would be towed. This is not fair, but is the practice of preditors preying tenants and property owners as well. The grounds keeper is suspicous always seen peeking in windows and he is usually the one that calls Petes towing to pickup your car. My family and I have never lived in a place so un hospitable.

@Charles: I understand your frustration; when my husband and I got married, we were in a condo association and we got towed a few times. The unfortunate part is we were at fault, but as you mentioned, it feels like you are being preyed on.

My best advice is to contact the homeowner association with your concerns, especially if you are a homeowner (unfortunately if you are a tenant, your "voice" will not hold as much weight).

All that aside, it sounds like maybe Threechopt Village is not the place for you and your family. I am able to sell properties through the Hampton Roads area and would love to help you find a neighborhood to fit all your needs :-)!

This townhome community is what appears to be a nice community. We have random cars that circle for hours neighborhood everyday- reving engines-loud music- blowing horns-parking in private spaces then pull off-speeding throughout the community- swerving on the road and back into the main street- they speeding down big bethel road especially on weekends- trash is thrown down intentionally in the community I have watched this with my own eyes. People are friendly to those they know others are treated like outsiders. Lots of break ins-Swat team- police detective and dogs - more going on than meets the eye. Will not let kids go out when cars circling suspicious activity. We are suppose to have a neighborhood watch-lol
