Remember when we were kids and we would argue about just about everything and we would constantly compare what we had to our friends. It was a constant battle of who had the best house, parents, dog, bike and whatever fits in the sentence "my ________ is better than your ___________." Well, if you are a Realtor for one of the top company's in our country then you have no doubt heard your company or your competition claim to be number one or maybe even number two. Come to think of it, that's pretty funny. Just imagine any competitive team jumping up and down claiming to be number two; "we're number 2, we're number 2." OK, I got off track, sorry, so back to my point, why do we ( me included ) spend so much time comparing the size of our competitive companies. Is it because we are looking for the upper hand in winning a listing or a buyer or is it just because we want to be number 1. If you spend any time on facebook you know some companies focus on this a little more than others and again the question is why. If I am being honest, no way it's to earn more business because after all how many of your future sellers and buyers are on your facebook page? Be honest, how many? So the only reason left is pride. Ouch, that doesn't feel good does it. Me either by the way so let me formally apologize for my past, present and future proclamations of "We're Number One or Two" whichever applies. Now that I got that out of the way, check out the attached link on Re/Max for the thirteenth year in a row being number one in homes sells in the United States.
