(not so) Speechless Sundae…
Here I sit, staring at a blank screen knowing that I should type something. Not that I need to, but because I want to. There is a difference. I can only speak for myself, but when I have to do something, my heart is really not into it. Maybe its something to do with the human condition. I go through the motions all the while asking that inner person:
Do you really want to do this? No.
Will it be 100% when done? Probably not.
Will it acceptable? Probably.
However, when I do something because I want to, I am electrified. I can feel the energy as it flows beneath my wings; taking my heart, my soul, the very essence of what is me, to unknown heights. Why? Because I want to...
Beautiful picture, Michael. The message is great too. I have felt like that all week-like I was posting because I had to. Usually, things just flow--on the other hand, it was a super-busy week; lots of sales. I'll attribuite it to that!
Michael, I don't think we have any ducks with that kind of brilliance in our area! And definitely, the "have to" vs. "want to", a world of difference in the enjoyment factor.
For someone who was sitting in front of the screen without thought, the content of your blog shows how effortlessly thoughts come to you! "Need to" sometimes produces substandard results while "want to" produces your best effort. Enjoy your day!
Michael......amazing photo as always...... can't imagine you half-way doing anything! Nice post!
Hope you have a great day!---Rob
Yes Michael the I want to do it, makes all the difference! Great shot BTW!
I am soooo glad you wanted to share this magnificent portrayal of colors! Such a great shot...thanks!!!!!
Michael ~ I think the photo is beautiful. The colors of the bird really show against the grayish water.
Hi Michael, it must be a morning for memories. Your photo today reminds me that in our business prior to entering real estate, was a retail store called "Lighten Up!" My business partner wood burned duck decoys. The wood duck is always fabulous looking and a very popular addition to any collection. Maybe your screen isn't really blank - let's just call it fresh canvas!
Michael....Kristine has taken the words out of my mouth !!!
Oh ....Great picture !! Wood Duck flying though snow !!!!
hey Michael,
great photo. Yesterday before training my client I saw may Hawks flying around and tire to capture them in flight, that is some hard thing to do. Well captured!
Hi Michael, ...to want or not want... makes all the difference in motivation and outcome as well... Have a great Sunday!
Mike,
I've been running on empty the last couple weeks myself. Still need to figure out the get motivated again. I'm sure springtime and better weather is going to help.

Michael, when I want to do something, I do gets energized. Love the colorful bird in this photo!
We have days where the motivation is low or not there. We are only human. Love the awesome shot!
Great picture. I always enjoy your photographs! I would welcome you as a guest blogger any time!
Life is good when there are flowers to photograph!
Micheael, people can tell if you are doing something you love and/or are passionate about.
Isn't that the truth!!! I have unlimited energy it seems to dig and plant in my garden all day long, but no inclination whatsoever to spend an hour to go get the oil changed in my car.
