We all know that debt refers to something that is owed, and it is our obligation to pay up or it will fall in a debt collector's hands.
Bills pile up, debt increases, assets are mismanaged, and in the process we are frustrated, it happens. But a few reasonable adjustments may go a long way toward minimizing the frustration we feel. We don't want the embarrassing calls from debt collectors nor do we want them showing up at our homes or our jobs to remind us to make payments. So in order to avoid this embarrassing situation, we will try to meet our financial obligations.
Financial experts suggest that we pay off credit card debt. It shouldn't take an expert to tell us this, after all we know this or we will be reminded but the creditors or the collection gods. So work out a plan to pay off said debt. Keep in mind however, that providing for your family the necessities of life comes first. And it doesn't matter what a collector may say, paying that credit card bill is not part of the necessities of life. It's an obligation so again, work out a plan to pay off your debt.
Some collection agencies have coerce payment of debt through harassment, oppression, and by being abusive but these practices are against the law. How do you stop the calls? Ask for the name of the collection agency, write a letter to them, and by law they should stop calling you.
