NCAA Women's Basketball Championships: The Elite 8 Match-ups

The weekend games were tight and the battles expected from the field of 16 finalists. Eight were eliminated, and some didn't give up without a fight.

On to the Elite 8. Now the games will get tighter and will be better contested. Coaches believe that these are the toughest games to win and that once in the Final 4 they might be a bit easy. These games have all National Title winners playing, so all the coaches know how to get to the Final 4, and will be coaching and urging their teams to get them to give 110%

Here are the match-ups for tonight and tomorrow.

Stanford is projected to be in the National Title Game, and Gonzaga has been on a Cinderella Ride, which could end tonight.

This will be the second time UConn faces Duke this year and the first time, Duke was routed by 37 points. This game will definitely not be the same as the girls from Duke don't have short memories.

Tennessee/Notre Dame will be a battle as well, but I think the fighting Irish might have more game than Tennessee tomorrow night and will get past them for their first victory over Tennessee in 21 tries. One thing I can sat with certainty, is that the team that scores the most points will win.

Baylor/Texas A&M will be brutal and is probably a pick-em game.

My picks for Final 4, UConn, Notre Dame, Stanford Texas A & M. Let's see how well I do.

Ed, I am watching Tennessee and Notre Dame right now.  Notre Dame is taking it to them.  Let's see if they can keep that up throughout the game.

George, it definitely didn't look like Tennessee of old in that game. If we get past Duke, we then have ND for the 4th time this year and that could present a problem. Stanford was strong over Gonzaga
