This is Part 2 in what I hope will be a short series as I sell my home.
In case you missed it. Here is Part 1: My Journey as a Seller - The Beginning
Since Part 1 - I did my photographs, I did the Virtual Tour and I had my first Open House.
The anxiety that you feel about having people come to an open house that you are doing as an agent, is quadrupled (at least) when you are also the seller. I have a new resolve to insist that sellers leave when I do an Open House.
Not only was I anxious but my husband< who I could not convince to leave, added to that anxiety.
Every time a car would come near the house - Are they coming here? Why are they slowing down and driving away? What don't they like?
After they leave then it's: What did they think? Did they like it? Are they going to make an offer?
And from my perspective - it is a fine line between owner and agent. In a way I can better explain the house and why some things are what they are. It gave me a new appreciation for when Listing Agents and Homeowners interject during a showing.
But again, it needs to remain on a professional level.
It is something I am working on - seems like it is and will continue to be a work in progress.
Do you know someone who wants to live in Old Woodmere, in the Five Towns area on Long Island? Send them my way!
