In Search of Sun in Sandy UT

Newscaster: When are we likely to see some Spring weather here in Utah.

Co-Host: Probably not for a long while yet.

(Mental note - will be great for visitors coming to ski The Greatest Snow on Earth)

When the sun does break through it has no heat. Even serpents are found lying on sidewalks, hoping for warmth, but with tongues out to catch random snow flakes.

This specimen belongs to The Mayan Adventure, a restaurant in Jordan Commons, Sandy UT. Clients are greeted by Jones Party's Mayan Adventure is about to begin.

Depending on where you are seated for your chosen meal, you are enveloped by the decor (Jungle, birds, stone rooms, rockpools...) Put it on your list of places to see when you next visit Sandy UT.

Meanwhile out on the sidewalk, the Serpents backed by Mayan architecture beckon visitors and clients, all the while trying to find a little warmth in a Spring long in coming.

Hi Larry,

The sun keeps tempting us into believing weather changes are on their way. I'll take whatever I can get, although you won't hear me complain about Seattle rain after leaving the Phoenix desert!

I'd be watching out for serpents that size looking for the warm glow of the sun!  :)

See you in the rain...

Larry, I need to come to Utah for some skiing soon. I hear great things about Utah but never had a chance to visit. I will make sure I visit this great restaurant you've mentioned - sounds like quite an experience, so unexpected in Sandy. Have a wonderful evening. Some cherry blossoms for you from Washington, DC.

Larry, best wishes for an early "sun" season.  I enjoyed this read, especially the part about the serpents on the streets.

All - a few good days after snow, before we go that way again by the weekend.

Nate - if you get a chance, give me a call when you are here. Bring a coat ~ just in case.
