By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Pearland - Maggie McFarland

LasagnaI am always looking for quick good meals to prepare. I actually timed myself and it took the 20 minutes start to finish including cleaning up the kitchen.  Plus it tasted Yummy! My Hubby said it was the best lasagna I ever made. I hope you try and enjoy!

•1.      1 lb ground beef or turkey

•2.      28 oz spaghetti sauce

•3.      1.5 cups water

•4.      15 oz small curd cottage cheese

•5.      8oz shredded Italian cheese

•6.      ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

•7.      2 large eggs

•8.      tsp salt

•9.      tsp pepper

•10.   TBLS Italian Season

•11.   Large box of lasagna, (Uncooked)

Heat oven to 350. Brown meat and drain. Mix in spaghetti sauce and water, and then set aside.  Mix together items 4 -10 (only use ½ of the Italian cheese) spread 1 cup of sauce on the bottom of the pan, then add 3 pieces of lasagna (uncooked) spread thin layer of cheese mixture, top with sauce, repeat layers until you run out of the cheese mixture.  Top with lasagna, then sauce and the other half of the Italian cheese. Cover with foil and cook for 45 minutes, remove foil and cook for 10 to 15 more minute.  Remove from oven and let stand for 20 minutes before cutting.

for a minute there, I thought I read that you made lasagne in 20 minutes and that included cooking time.  I had to reread.  LOL

It does sound easy to make.  I would have to go without the cottage cheese though.

No Karen you do not cook the noodles before putting in the oven.  The water in the sauce helps with the cooking.
