Words are our Tools

My daughter was just sharing a discussion that took place in her English class today. They were discussing differing opinions and my daughter mentioned that she's very good at debate. She said, "I always win people over to my point of view..."

"I will pummel them to the ground with words!!" was actually her direct quote.

14 years old I wonder if she should grow up to be:

1. A lawyer
2. A salesman
3. A short sale negotiator

Having a way with words is important as a Real Estate Agent, but so is listening.

I carry the Certified Short Sale Negotiator initials after my name, CSSN, and also the SFR - which stands for the Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource designation.

Do you have questions about short sale and foreclosures? I'll listen! Or, do you need someone to go to the bat for you in Real Estate negotiation?

Perhaps I won't go so far as my daughter proudly claims on the eve of her 16th birthday - but I put my clients' needs first -- from writing the offer, negotiating the contract, during escrow and the inspection process, and working towards the closing table.

Glad you are enjoying my little play on my daughter's conversation. She had no idea she was (yet another) subject of a blog. So, she took a weird photo of me and it's winging it's way to Facebook as I type this. Ah...technology!

I actually think she's going to grow up to be some kind of advocate. She's a fighter for the persecuted in any way!

Juli - I didn't tell her until 15 minutes after posting and all the comments came on. She just gives me one of those "Oh MAWHMMMMMM" looks. :)

Toni - wouldn't that be a wonderful wish and dream come true. No more short sales!!!!!!! Actually, I guess they have their purposes and need when one hasn't other options. Let's just hope that it becomes a uniform, organized process by then!
