Greater Nashville Area Grows by 11.5%
The State of Tennessee's population increased 11.5 according to the recently released 2010 US Census. The biggest population gain was seen in the Nashville area, with Williamson County topping the list for the second decade in a row. The major towns that make up Williamson County include Brentwood, Franklin, Nolensville, Spring Hill and Thompsons Station). Rutherford County (cities ofMurfreesboro, LaVergne and Smyrna) came in second followed closely by Wilson County (cities of Lebanon and Mt. Juliet).
