I belong to multiple groups and have tried to post blog to all of them. Kicked back to me with 5 group maximum. How do I post to all the groups I belong to without duplicating the original post.  Thanks in advance for all the assistance I am sure I will recieve.

There must be a 5 group max. Please post when you find out. I'm curious too.

Jason, I will. I have noticed several blogs with postings to 20 groups but figure they just copied the post.

There is a posting limit of 5 groups because you should only post to a group items that are pertinent to that group.  And because spammers were posting to many, many groups.  Where you see a post posted to many, many groups, it is one that was posted before the limits were put in place some time ago.

Just post to the five groups that your post most fits.  It will also appear on the front page for a while, so more people than just the members of those groups will see it.

I can't stand spammers, but I enjoy writing so I would like to get it to more people...Any suggestions?

Only the one I made.  Some people have posted a blog more than once, sending it to five different groups each time, but that's considered VERY bad form and will get you a bad rep on AR.

The suggestion is to NOT try to send your post to more than five groups.  It's very rare that a post will be appropriate for more than five groups anyway, and group moderators don't look kindly on people posting things that don't fit the group profile, because they have to go to the trouble of removing them.

Just figure out where it fits and send it there. Like I said, it will be seen on the front page by everyone, anyway.

Hi, Larry!  I second Tricia's comments.  Posting to multiple groups was abused so we're now limited to post to only five groups.  If you read the guidelines of each group (on the sidebar), it will spell out what is relevant to the group.  On the positive side, you can join as many groups as you can handle.  Good luck!

Hi Larry, What Tricia and Yolanda say is true -- we can only post to 5 groups.  You've probably seen some of the older posts that are still around that were posted to more than 5 groups -- possibly as many as 20.  The change was made earlier this year.  Like Tricia says, post to the appropriate groups -- moderators hate to remove posts that don't belong in the groups.   Good Luck!!!
