An Orchid For You!
March has been a busy month for local and regional orchid sales and shows. It is a good time to select orchids for your home and a wonderful time for photographers that enjoy the challenge of photographing flowers.
If you wish to take up flower photography as a hobby, the flower shows are good opportunities for practice. Take a couple of hundred pictures at each of a few shows and you will develop an eye for the best angles and the best lighting. There is no substitute for a high qualify camera but you do not need a high priced camera to have a high level of enjoyment. Always select a camera that comes with photo editing software to place on your computer and always edit your pictures before you share them with family and friends. Don't worry about the pictures that do not turn out as expected. Just delete the bad ones and enjoy the best images.
Have your camera in hand when you walk through your neighborhood and capture the colors of spring.
