Spring is Here ............ Detroit Tigers Opening Day Game Today!

It's Spring Time! The weather may not seem like spring time but our Detroit Tigers opening day is this afternoon at 1:05 p.m. at Yankee stadium.

T.V. on Fox Sports Detroit and ESPN
Radio - 97.1 FM and 1270 AM
Starting Pitcher for the Tigers - Justin Verlander
Starting Pitcher for the Yankees - C.C. Sabathia

Don't forget the Tigers home opener is Friday, April 8th at 3:05 p.m. vs the K.C. Royals

I spend my childhood in Toledo and went to old Tiger Stadium a few times a year and always enjoyed it. The new park looks great and I've driven by but never had the chance to see a game there. Nice to see your owner willing to spend some money for a good team because ours certainly won't.

Dan - the old Tiger stadium was great and had so much history, but the new Comerica Park is awesome! You should try and catch a game there. It's like a little town inside there .... restaurants, a merry go round and a ferris wheel too. And the park is just beautiful.

Everyone's favorite team is still in first place. I sure wish my A's would get a new stadium. I am lucky enough to be able to see the Giants play in their beautiful park though.

I used to pass old Tiger Stadium when travelling to and through Detroit. I wish I had had a chance to see a game there as I understand that to be one of the best of the old time stadiums.

I'm so excited for this season! I think our beloved Tigers have a real shot at winning the division. Hope "springs" eternal, huh?

Too bad that we lost the opener, but I always think it's great for the home team to win their Opening Day. And besides, if anyone was going to beat us, I'm glad it was Curtis!
