Grade Schoolers.  Sometimes I think that every home should have one.  Well, at least for a few hours every week.

I was trying to do something on the computer and my Grand Daughter was waiting for me to get done.  At 10 going on 18, she finally asked what I was trying to do.

I showed her what I was trying and how it was not working.  She asked me to again show her the 15 steps I was doing.

Then she asked me to move over.  When showed me 3 steps and what I had been fighting was done.

I asked her where this short cut came from.

She replied..."XP Service pack 1".  And then she calmly walked away!

I am still debating if I should allow her into my home or not!

Now that is hysterical!  One of my Granddaughters absolutely hates computer lab (she's 7) "because the teacher is so slow and boring" -- wishes she'd just quickly tell them what they're supposed to do and then sit down and be quiet so they can concentrate!!!

That is funny William.  Kids today don't know a world without a computer in every home.

That's funny William, kids knowing about Microsoft Service Pack features. You have a little genius on your hands.

Thank goodness that the next generation is able to show us ol' timers how things technical can be done!  Now you show her how to plant a vegetable garden! ( She probably thinks veggies grow at the grocery store!)

Let her in to your house Bill. She can show you how to do it, but guaranteed you won't learn how to do it yourself. What's the old saying, "You can't teach an old dog new tricks?" LOL

Bill, the moment I realized my son was smarter than me when it came to the computer...was three systems ago, now I just ask him to fix it.

Bill,

It is a wise man that leaves the Luddites behind when standing in the face of technological progress. Sometimes "a littel child will lead them."

Best,

Steve
