Did you know that 1 in 5 Canadians is interested in buying a US property?

According to a survey by BMO Bank of Montreal, 1 in 5 Canadians is now interested in buying a US property, fueled by the strong ChartCanadian Dollar and the reduced US home prices.

Prices in the past 4 years have fallen  in the areas where Canadians usually buy:  Miami by 49%, Tampa by 44%, Phoenix by 54%, Las Vegas 57%.

I am working with a couple from Canada who are moving to the US!  The problem is that our prices for a comparable home to the one they now have is MUCH HIGHER!

Prpoblem is that, just like many US citizens, they want to escape their cold season, so they do like the southern states.  I am in Naples, FL and we have a lot of Canadians here and in Bonita Springs to our north.
