This week, I had the pleasure of calling three former clients and wishing them "Happy Anniversary!"...on their home purchase. I've been doing this for a few years now and for the most part, people don't realize that it's their home purchase anniversary. Those that do usually remember it because I had called them the prior year or two! 
It's a nice way to reach out and connect with clients who bought a home through you in the past. I'm always in touch with people anyways through my newsletter, but this is a nice occasion to call someone for. Some will recall fondly the closing or the weeks or months it took to find or close on the house.
I've even taken the step to call people I know and wish them "Happy Anniversary" even if I was not their agent! After a while, they'll think I was and won't remember the actual agent since for the most part, they never stay in touch after the sale. I always tell my buyer clients at the closing that this is the start of our relationship, not the end.
Any other agents out there call on home purchase anniversaries? What kind of response are you getting? I love doing it and will continue to do so for as long as I can!
