Judi, I've seen some stunning beaches, but today I couldn't find any of my photos that seemed to fit so I got this one from Wiki Commons. It is from Saona Island in the Dominican Republic - but there are great beaches everywhere.

Hella, I can't think of any beaches anywhere that I haven't liked. And the mai tai sounds perfect.

I want to find out more about Uruguay..... is it a "safe" country? I don't think I have ever heard a negative thing about it.......drugs, corruption, bad government..... I am going to study this! I am interested.... I've just about had it with the US.....

Gary, I am looking online at Uruguay. Looking at the cost of short term rental for a month, if I could get away for a exploration vacation..... trying to get a feel for a city or two....

Teri, I think a short term exploration vacation is an excellent idea. I usually suggest to my clients that they rent for at least 6 months before permanently moving to any city or country. I'll send you a followup email the first of the week - I will be out traveling for a couple of days or it would be sooner. I'll include some great information that I have found on a few of the places in Uruguay.
