You are looking at a Giant Kaleidoscope (human size) at the 2nd Annual Sonoma County, CA Maker Kids Mini-Maker Faire.  It was fun for all who came today on Saturday April 2nd, 2011 from 11:00am - 3:00pmKids of all ages (and some specially invited adult Makers) came to show off their creations and took part in the hands-on activities at this fun FREE event!

Produced by the Sonoma County Office of Education in Partnership with Sonoma Country Day School and the folks who produce the original and World's Largest Maker Faire in San Mateo County, CA each year, Maker Kids Mini-Maker Faire Celebrates things people create themselves from - "Ride-able Sculptures" appliance dissection turned into "Junkart".

Looks like a fun filled day there.  I see lots of summer clothes so the weather must have been great, it is nice here right now also.  Not too hot, not cold, wish it could stay just this way.

Linda, looks like a great event and very successful. Can't believe the wonderful weather you are having.  Today it snowed, hailed, rain, snowed, sunshine and rain....with heavy winds!  Definitely looking forward to Monday it is suppose to be in the 70s...crazy, crazy weather!

I absolutely, positively love the creativity in this post! Those kids are AMAZING! I'm so glad you posted it. I would have enjoyed it, had I been there. Kaleidoscopes are so much fun. I wish there were more events like this. Kids need to be engaged in the arts and step away from computers.

Great job Linda of putting this one together! Events like this are fun for kids of ALL ages! You're awesome!
