I've run into people who are very skeptical that a staged home will increase its value, and decrease its time on the market.

So, for those who love statistics, a recent stat from ASP emphasizes how much faster a house that is staged will sell. And here’s a little more proof: two different homes I staged both sold after one day on the market.

I just destaged a house that had been on the market for a year previously. The owner took it off, did a little updating and had us stage it. They received 5 offers from the first open house. Realtors who had seen it prior could not believe the difference. It looks like it will provide some more jobs for us.

After we destaged it, I commented to the owner that again it looked so much smaller without furniture. He whole-heartedly agreed and told me many times how much difference the staging made.
