Artist George Rodrigue is featured in the exhibit, Blue Dogs and Cajuns: George Rodrigue from the New Orleans Museum of Art, which opened Friday at the Masur Museum of Art in Monroe.
The exhibits run through April 23.
George and Wendy Rodrigue will be in Monroe Tuesday, April 4, for several museum events which are free and open to the public.
Tuesday afternoon, Rodrigue will be at the Emily P. Robinson Community Center for the Children's Drop-In Activity from 3:30-4:30 p.m. to make a sidewalk chalk mural with them. The event will be held rain or shine.
A gallery talk and book signing will be held Tuesday evening at the museum. A reception will be from 6-7 p.m. with the gallery talk at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
It is so exciting to have a visit by George Rodrigue, one of the most well known artists from Louisiana. He is known the world over, not just in Louisiana, and popular with collectors.
