Hi Everyone! I just flew home from the Nationals last night and with me came 8 new National Records: 4 in Masters 1, 4 in Masters 2 for my weight class, 63 kgs. (Multiply by 2.205 for pounds.) I'm waiting for the official word on this and should have it within about a week.

I weighed in at 61.4 kilos, squatted 145 kgs, benched 85 kgs, and deadlifted 160 kgs for a record total of 390 kgs. To top it off, I also won the Best Lifter Over All in Masters 2. To own this you must outlift pound for pound all the other golds in your age category in all weight classes...Icing on the already incredible cake!

I made the World Team and will be lifting at the World Masters Championships this October!

DREAM, BELIEVE, ACHIEVE...and all can be possible!

I want to thank all of you for your support, especially when I was away and waiting for meet day...It helped a lot. I saved all of your comments on my phone and laptop, reading them every time the nerves got to me. They really made me feel good and gave me the extra I needed when I needed it. Maria and Sharon, Thanks! I just edited my post as I believe I had 8 records for sure, the other 3 I'll have to wait to find out about. I think I had another competitor in the Open category that may have those category records. But 8 is plenty anyway! :)

Peter and Linda, I was the only Islander on the BC Team. There were 11 of us. I am so happy and proud to bring it home for the Island :)

Thanks Brian! The training is based on numbers and consistency. You must allow for adequate recovery in order to make gains and stay injury free....Kind of a magic balance that must be met, as it is intense work. I love it, though.

Thanks Ted! It will be in Canada, the 7th I've done and the first in my own country, so I'm excited. It's in St. Catharines, Ontario from Sept 28 - Oct 2nd. I start training in one week.
