A call to Action as received by me in an e-mail from John Sebree FAR
Legislators return to Tallahassee this week for a special session to address a shortfall in the state budget. Realtors recognize the impact our industry has on Florida's economy, and how slowing sales activity has contributed to the lack of revenue in the state coffers.
Just a few years ago, Florida enjoyed a $4 billion budget surplus that was the direct result of doc stamp revenues and sales tax receipts that flowed in from a robust real estate market. We need to send the message to legislators that they need to take immediate action to reinvigorate our economy through appropriating Sadowski funds to stimulate housing. And, during the next special session later this month, legislators need to take all actions necessary to ensure that property tax relief will be on the January 29 ballot. By clicking here you will be able to send a personalized message to your legislators.
Thank you for standing strong for our industry and the property owners of Florida.
