In the current market one of the areas that can set you apart from the competition is providing exceptional customer service. Ask yourself one question....Are you doing everything you can, not simply to satisfy your clients real estate needs, but to provide top quality customer service?
Something happened to me the other day....a client had decided to withdraw their home from the market due to personal issues....and, I'm sure.....the limited showing activity. As I was talking to them....feeling like I had somehow failed them....my client said..."I have a friend who is looking to sell their home", I wasn't expecting that. You see there will always be the listing that doesn't sell, or the buyers that don't buy.... However behind every transaction there is a very important aspect.....THE CLIENT. Have you ever been to a restaurant where the food took forever, but the servers attitude was great? Would you go back?
At the end of this rant....my intention is to share a bit of insight....while yes it is true that we are in the real estate business....at the end of the day this is still a service industry. Sure real estate is our product...but a product without service is a commodity. Undifferentiated and generic..with decisions solely based on price.
During the day to day challenges of the real estate business...remember one thing..."They Chose You".... Prove them right.
