Our Newly-Elected "Conservative" Congressman Dr. Paul Gosar Disses TEA Party
If an elected candidate wants to get elected off our hard work they had better try to remember us when they are sitting there in the new office listening to all of the lobbyists. We have long memories.
The following is a summary of my meeting with Dr. Paul Gosar on Saturday, March 19, 2011.I had an exciting morning today. Our newly-elected CD1 Congressman, Dr. Paul Gosar held "office hours" this morning. I went, signed in and had five minutes with Dr.Gosar. I mentioned our TEA Party victory at the Arizona State GOP Convention and how proud we were to have toppled the John McCain and Kyle picks for Chairman. He said he was NOT PLEASED about our AZ GOP victory and stated that we are being "divisive." Representative Gosar added that "John McCain is our leader." I told him that most of us in the TEA Party movement do not consider John McCain to be loyal to our Constitutional Conservative principles, especially on the issue of illegal aliens.
As I left I was reminded of Lee Trevino's famous quote "ya dance with who brung ya." The TEA Parties here in Arizona Congressional District One certainly put forth a lot of effort to get Gosar elected to replace Pelosi "rubber stamp," Ann Kirkpatrick.
We will definitely be watching Dr. Gosar and how well he takes a stand for the conservative values we hold so dear.
When I came out I found 25 - 30 members of the Yavapai TEA Party outside. I mentioned that Dr. Gosar showed disrespect for the TEA Party and our efforts at establishing real Constitutional Conservatives in our Arizona GOP leadership.
I think we can pull together in making sure the Republicans in Arizona know that the TEA Parties across the State of Arizona are united in our stand to elect Constitutional Conservatives in EVERY post from school boards to President.
As Dr. Gosar showed dis-respect of the TEA Parties and our position on the issues we now know that he does not respect the effort we put forth and we must definitely "hold his feet to the fire." We are not divisive, but we are totally uniting around the Constitutional principles in which we believe.
The power that we had in getting Constitutional Conservatives elected came as a direct result of placing Constitutional Conservatives as Precinct Committeemen both locally as well as moving them up to be Delegates to the Arizona State GOP Convention.

Michele Bachman was in Scottsdale, AZ on Saturday, April 2. She mentioned that MANY in Washington are alarmed at what we accomplished by electing Tom Morrissey as Chair of the Republican Party here in Arizona.
