Southwood is located in Cumberland County in a semi-secluded area off Tom Starling Rd near Grays Creek. Although not technically in town it is still part of the Fayetteville NC homes market. The homes in Southwood were built in the 90s with a traditional architectural style. Many homes have a garage attached and are clad mainly with wood composite or vinyl siding. The area has excellent access to highways I-95 and NC 87
