A lollipop is candy on a stick....and the name makes no sense. Yet there isn't a kid that doesn't know about this word and who hasn't had the experience of one of these. The one that sticks (pun) out to me is the Tootsie Roll Pop. When I found out that you can have your Tootsie and eat it too, my world as a kid became more exciting
LOLLIPOPS ARE NO RESPECTER OF PERSONS
I used to by a large box of these and keep them at the Real Estate office. Pretty soon everyone was walking around with sticks coming out of their mouths. I made a couple of observations. First, you cannot talk with one of these in your mouth. So, when you meet someone who has one going, you can talk all you want until their hand goes to the stick...then you know that they will respond...Another thing I noticed is you never know what flavor someone has until they pull it out of their mouths.
MANY WAYS TO PARTAKE
I have seen people enjoy theirs different ways. The user controls the degree of experience by leaving it in the mouth or taking it out. The girl users like to apply it like lipstick while they indulge. They get an extra perk out of it. A few daring users like to crunch down and get to the Tootsie roll center. The noise generated gives you away every time.
BUSINESS MEETING TOOLS
In my meeting rooms, I kept Tootsie roll pops in a glass jar. Once I reached for one during a meeting, everyone else got one too. You had 8 child like adult Real Estate agents discussing business in between slurps and swallows. It actually made us all better listeners because our mouths stayed busy allowing the speaker quality floor time. We all got into a passionate business discussion once and the lollipops actually helped us with our pacing while we had discussion..
YOU LOVE EVERYONE
It is impossible to dislike anyone who is enjoying a lollipop. TRY IT! It cannot be done. If a policeman pulled you over and had one of these going, it would change your mood instantly and his too. Doctors coming in and out of their examining rooms would be more inviting. Judges would not be feared but become father figures and if teachers would imbibe, students could relate to them better.
I have concluded that the lollipop makes for a better human being......
